1,000 contracts representing £1,000 each are collectively 10x less valuable than one £10M contract.
Value and importance are not evenly distributed across your contracts.
You therefore shouldn’t just think about catering to the most common scenario when building a contract database. Think about where the value is concentrated and work from there.
Why?
Your most important contracts are generally the most complex. They’re also the hardest to manage. If you optimise for the simple majority, you might end up choosing a solution that is unfit for purpose for exactly the contracts that matter most.
