…when you don’t have a defined, enforceable system for contract names, this is what you end up with.

When there is no naming convention, names cease to be helpful. Without predictability of names, you cannot search your documents by name. But these names are often the sole way that important information is found. Now you need to open the document just to know what it's about, so you end up opening hundreds of documents to find what you're looking for.

We have never met a company that successfully enforces contract names. When you have so many different stakeholders and counterparties (who often send the final document), it’s not surprising. Yet every company we speak to acknowledges the fist-clenching pain of horrible names.

So unlike other solutions, we decided we'd name every single customer agreement we process.
